Why does it cost so much to be involved?

At a minimum it takes $45,000 to run a successful high school band program for a year.  Funds received from the County are in the form of salaries and facilities. That leaves the students and parents to raise the funds needed to keep the program running the entire year. Items such as instruments, color guard equipment, halftime shows, uniforms, buses, competition fees, ect. range in the thousands of dollars.  Most high school band dues are $500+ per student.  We have made every effort to decrease cost and provide you with a way to "buy down" Tribe dues. 

Explanation of Marching Band Expenses
covered by TRIBE Dues:

$175 ~ General Operating Cost

 Includes items such as:
 Instructors, Clinicians, Show Shirt, Marching Gloves (1pair), 
Game Day Meals, Traveling Expenses for football season and competitions, new music, school instrument repair, etc...

$100 ~ Uniform Rental, Alterations & Cleaning

Total: $275

Marching Shoes are NOT included in band dues
and cost $36

The following items may need to be purchased separately:
Flip Folder, Lyre, Additional Gloves, Water Cooler, Extra Tribe Shirts or Show Shirts, etc...

*ITEMS THAT THE COLOR GUARD MEMBERS KEEP WILL BE ADDITIONAL
EX:  UNITARD, TIGHTS, SHOES, JAZZ PANTS, SPORTS BAG, GLOVES ect.
(Most of these extra items will last for as long as you are a member of the LG guard)

Guard Shoes are NOT included in band dues
and cost $49

*Note-Parents of Guard: There may be additional costs involved with the winter guard season.
